This is just a simple Beef Gravy recipe that I use on savory roasts and also more recently poutine.

  • 2 Cups Beef Stock
  • 1/4 Cup Arrowroot Flour (may need more for desired thickness)
  • 1/4 cup of Grassfed Butter
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Slowly sift in the arrowroot flour while stirring. Continue to cook for about 5 minutes and the mixture begins to resemble a brown roux.

Once happy with the butter and flour mixture, turn heat down and slowly begin to pour in the beef stock, again while whisking. Once everything is in the saucepan, turn heat back up and keep stirring. Continue cooking the gravy to the desired thickness. Season with salt and pepper.
